Biography
Abdul Bashiru is a Faculty member at the School of Management and Economics, University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH), Erbil. He holds a PhD focused on Marketing Management from Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic. He is currently an External Examiner at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Ghana, and a Visiting Professor at Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP), Mexico. Before joining UKH, Jibril worked at several reputable international universities: Tomas Bata University in Zlin (Europe), International University of Rabat (Africa), and most recently, Westminster International University in Tashkent, an accredited institution of the University of Westminster, UK (Asia). His expertise encompasses technology adoption, Fintech, social media analytics, service marketing, brand management, and sustainable e-tourism. He leads research teams across Europe, Asia, and Africa, contributing to notable projects like the Fair Work initiative between the University of Oxford and the International University of Rabat, Morocco.
Passionate about leveraging data mining techniques and quantitative research methods to extract intelligence for enhanced business decision-making, particularly in emerging and developing economies, Jibril's work appears in reputable ABS/ABDC journals and book chapters (in springer), with presentations at several international conferences worldwide. He has over 70 publications in leading ABS/ABDC-listed journals and WoS/Scopus-listed conference proceedings. Notably, his research outcomes have made significant contributions to impactful journals such as the International Journal of Information Management, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Service Sciences, and Cogent Business & Management, among others. His active participation and presentations at numerous international scientific conferences were hosted in countries including the USA, UK, France, Germany, and Saudi Arabia further evidence his research impact. He serves as Associate Editor for Cogent Business and Management, Editorial Review Board Member for the International Journal of Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics, and Sectional Editor for Current Social Sciences.
