Biography

Dr. Mumtaz currently serves as an Associate Professor and Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Business, Sohar University, Oman. He holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA in Human Resource Management, and an MS in Human Resource Development. Before joining Sohar University, he worked as an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at the NUST Business School (NBS) Islamabad, as well as served as an Assistant Professor and Head of Cluster at the Air University School of Management in Islamabad, Pakistan. Additionally, he worked as a Research Scientist at the Center of Social Innovation at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in Malaysia. Dr. Mumtaz is currently listed in the World Top 2% Scientist list by Stanford, reflecting his significant contributions to research in his field.

Dr. Mumtaz serves as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Applied Structural Equation Modeling (JASEM), an international, open-access journal indexed in SCOPUS (Q2). Recently, he was appointed as an associate editor of the International Journal of Manpower (SCOPUS Q1, ABDC 'A'). Previously, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of NUST Business Review and as a Guest Editor for several journals, including the International Journal of Manpower, Electronic Journal of Applied Statistical Analysis, The Bottom Line, Journal of Internet Commerce, and Journal of Marketing Analytics.

Dr. Mumtaz has actively published in international refereed journals, co-authored a book, several case studies, and book chapters. The impact of his overall research efforts is evident in his Google Scholar profile, with over 8000 citations, an h-index of 34, and an i-10-index of 59, as well as in SCOPUS (2700+ citations and an h-index of 23). His ResearchGate Score (13194 with an H-index of 31) ranks higher than 99% of ResearchGate members worldwide. Additionally, he is the recipient of the 2018 Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Paper. In 2019, he and his colleagues translated SmartPLS software into the Urdu language, which was officially part of SmartPLS 3.0.

Being a certified professional trainer and consultant, Dr. Mumtaz has facilitated more than 200 workshops on advanced quantitative research methods, IBM SPSS Statistics, SmartPLS, and IBM SPSS AMOS for both postgraduate students and lecturers at several universities and research bodies in Malaysia, China, Indonesia, and Pakistan. His research interests encompass high-performance work systems, Green HRM, Workplace inclusiveness, HR analytics, and advanced quantitative research methods.
