Ružena Čiliaková

Biography

Mgr. Ružena Čiliaková, PhD. has been working at the Department of Elementary and Preschool Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education of Matej Bel University since 2010. The subject of her professional interest is the field of Science at the Primary school, Didactics of elementary eduaction with an emphasis on the issues of teaching management and guidance of pupils in the learning process. She focuses on the following disciplines: Didactics of Science, Teaching and Classroom Management, Teachers' professional activities, Alternative pedagogical concepts, Freinet pedagogy. She also deals with the issues of Slovaks living abroad (within the project of the Ministry of Education, Science and Higher Education of the Slovak Republic), especially in the field of teacher education. Since 2015, she has been part of a team of teachers from the Faculty, who are engaged in the creation of methodological materials, activities and education for teachers and children of foreign Slovaks. She has lectured several educational seminars and conferences for teachers living abroad (Nová Biala, Bratislava, Banská Bystrica).
