Biography
Dr. Robert Strong’s significant research, teaching, and service impacts strengthen TAMU’s translational research. He is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications. He investigates agricultural stakeholder impacts of Agriculture 5.0 predictive Artificial Intelligence innovations adoption. Strong earned the Outstanding Researcher Award from the American Association for Agricultural Education. He and co-investigators have received over $9,777,000 in federal funding with over $900,000 of those external funds supporting Strong’s research program. He has written 64 refereed journal articles, two book chapters, and over 200 conference proceedings. Strong teaches methods of technological change, and social science research. He has completed eight doctoral students, 26 master’s students, three undergraduate researchers, and served on 52 other graduate student committees. Internationally, he led five study abroad courses to Belize, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, reviews dissertations for the University of the West Indies and University College Dublin and led as President of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education. Strong was a Senior Editor of Advancements in Agricultural Development and was Executive Editor of the Journal of International Agricultural and Extension Education. He is a Fellow in the American Association for Agricultural Education and a Fellow in the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education.
