Bachelor degree in Accounting and Administration by the Institute of Higher Learning in Accounting and Administration of Aveiro, Degree in Accounting and Auditing by the Institute of Higher Learning in Accounting and Administration from the University of Aveiro, Master Degree in Accounting and Auditing by the University Aberta, and PhD degree in Accounting by the School of Economics and Management from the University of Minho. Between 2004-2015 was Adjunct Professor Institute of Higher Learning in Accounting and Administration of Aveiro from the University of Aveiro, and teached several topics such as Auditing, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. Between 2015-2023, he has been working at ISCTE Business School (ISCTE-IUL) as an Assistant Professor. Since May 2023 he has been working at ISCTE Business School (ISCTE-IUL) as an Associate Professor. He his author of several books and articles published in international and national scientific journals. He his a member of the Editorial board of the international journal Accounting and Finance Research and a member of the Scientific Board of the international journal Academic Journal of Economic Studies.

Research interests: risk reporting, enterprise risk management, impression management strategies, corporate social responsability, SNC's adotion impacts, management control systems.
