Biography

I am a fish nutritionist and freshwater ecologist with an interest in the study of nutrient flows, bioenergetics, and environmental interactions of aquaculture (food) systems. My main areas of work are freshwater fish and crustaceans, fishponds, Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), and aquaponics. My formal education has been purely in Fisheries and Aquaculture, with a strong emphasis on aquatic ecology, physiology, and biochemistry. I am trying to establish a niche field called "Aquatic Nutritional Ecology", imagining ponds, RAS, and aquaponics as Living Labs. Pronouns: He/ Him/ His.
