Biography

Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology, Bachelor's degree in Biology and Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology by the University of Malaga. Since 2012 working in Alzheimer's disease and other brain-related disorders at the University of Malaga (Spain) in a laboratory of recognized prestige in Neuroscience. This lab is focused on understanding the pathogenic mechanisms involved in the synaptic and neuronal loss, but especially interested in the role of the neuroinflammatory response in the development/progression of Alzheimer's disease. Other goals are to identify potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets and evaluate the effectiveness of new therapeutic strategies at the preclinical level. I do research in Alzheimer's disease, Frontotemporal Dementia and other tauopathies, through behavior analysis (MWM, NOR, OLT, Y/T maze), histochemical (IHC, ICC, IF) and molecular techniques (WB, PCR).
