Biography
She is a researcher at UID-FCT no. 4372, Distance Education and eLearning Laboratory (LE@D) - Universidade Aberta (Portugal) (https://lead.uab.pt/). She has a PhD in Educational Sciences, in the area of Language and Digital Education, from the University of São Paulo (USP), since 2017. She has a Post-Doctorate in Educational Technology at the Centre for Research in Basic Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (CIEB), Portugal, with research in the area of teacher digital competences, completed in 2021. She has a specialisation in Educational Technologies from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a degree in Pedagogy. Since September 2020, she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Technology and Information Management at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal and in the Department of Communication and Art at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Portugal. Visiting assistant professor on the master's programme in Computer Science Teaching at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of the Azores, Portugal. She has been an integrated researcher at the Distance Education and Elearning Laboratory (LE@D) at Universidade Aberta since February 2024 and is a regular member of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Adolescents and Children (NICA) at the University of the Azores, where she is a member of the Scientific Coordinating Committee and participates in the research and dissemination activities developed within the scope of this Research Centre. She is a collaborating member of the Basic Education Research Centre (CIEB) at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. She took part as a researcher in the Active methodologies and technologies in teacher training project at the Adventist University of São Paulo, Brazil. She has been a trainer in the field of ICT and Educational Technology since 2000 and collaborates with various national and international teacher training institutions. She has published a book, several book chapters, articles in magazines and papers at international and national conferences in the field of education. She is a member of the scientific committees of international and national conferences, with which she collaborates in the evaluation of scientific articles. She is interested in the area of technologies in education, computational thinking, programming and educational robotics, technologies applied to special education, e-learning, active methodologies, teacher training.
