Biography
First of all, I am passionate about my teaching and research work in Higher Education. My concerns with management education are the guidelines that embody my academic path. Within the scope of my research activity, I have explored the management of resources in the creation of environments and in the development of educational mechanisms, mainly in terms of teaching and learning methodologies in higher education. The scope that the educational management process allows, the concern with its quality and the very close contact with the core areas of ISCA, give me the knowledge, experience and skills that guide my research, mostly centered on management and business topics like accounting, finance and marketing. In the research unit where I belong, CIDTFF, I work closely with the Policies, Evaluation and Quality research group. My research has been disseminated through a variety of channels, including books, book chapters, international peer reviewed journals, and conferences. I have experience in participating and coordinating international technical-scientific projects. My involvement in the scientific and professional community also takes place in other ways, such as associate editor or scientific reviewer in indexed journals. At the pedagogical level, I also have experience in the design and reformulation of subjects, in collaboration in pedagogical innovation projects, and in the production of teaching materials. My work also allows me to share my knowledge with the society, either through teaching in professional training and technological specialization courses, or through various activities of science and technology dissemination, including international teaching exchanges, mostly within the business area. In terms of the management of higher education institutions, I was a member of the school council and of the scientific council, president of the pedagogical council and, until very recently, Erasmus departmental coordinator.
