Biography
Mahmood Mehdiloo is Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics (Operations Research) at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili. He started his BSc in Pure Mathematics at Urmia University in 2004. In 2008, he graduated from BSc with the second rank of honor, and began his MSc in Applied Mathematics (OR Branch) at Tarbiat Moallem University of Tehran. In 2011, he defended his thesis on the topic of dealing with undesirable data in data envelopment analysis. After graduating with the first rank of honor, he qualified as a talented student to attend PhD program in Applied Mathematics (OR Branch) in Shiraz University without entrance exam in Sep 2013. In July 2016, he completed this program in three years, one year earlier than the normal time period. He defended his dissertation on the topic of finding a maximal element of a non-negative convex set and its applications to linear programming and data envelopment analysis. In his dissertation, he also contributed to convex analysis by proposing a new proof for the fundamental representation theorem for convex sets. His research interests are now focused on data envelopment analysis, linear optimization, nonlinear optimization and and vector optimization.
