Biography

Associate professor at the Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
His research interests focus on practical and theoretical aspects of the impact of new technologies in the heritage area, with special emphasis on the use of social software, crowd work, citizen science and gamification in the field of knowledge organization in the digital environment.
He has authored more than 50 scientific and professional papers. As a reviewer, he collaborates with the journals Records Management Journal, Sustainability, Education Sciences, Information and Sensors. He won the Emerald Publishing Award "Outstanding Reviewer" for 2021 from the editorial board of Records Management Jorunal.
He is the chair of Institute for information studies of the Department of information and communication sciences.He is a member of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) and is actively participating in the working group Citizen science and universities. He is the national coordinator for the Erasmus+ project "Fostering FEMale participation and LEADership in open science initiatives" (2024-2027) (https://femlead.eu/). He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Erasmus+ funded project “Citizen-enhanced Open Science Southeastern Europe” (https://ceosse-project.eu/).
