Biography

Mashite Tshidi’s research interests lie at the intersection of educational technology, programming education, and learning analytics. Mashite holds a B.Ed. in English and Information Technology, a B.Ed. Hons in Educational Technology, and a Master of Education from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the same institution. His thesis focuses on optimising personalised learning through learning analytics to enhance student engagement and academic performance in higher education.

Mashite is an active researcher and has authored/co-authored publications and conference presentations in the areas of data-driven insights and educational technology. His research is informed by his experience in teaching and developing learning technologies, aiming to bridge gaps in student engagement and academic performance.
