Biography

Dr Colleran is the radiology lead for the National Fetal MRI program, head of the department in radiology in the National Maternity Hospital, a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist in CHI at Temple Street and the Vice President of the IHCA. She is also a UCD Assistant Clinical Professor, Women’s and Children’s Health, UCD School of Medicine, University College Dublin and a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics in Trinity College Dublin.

She graduated from NUI, Galway in 2005 with a first class honours degree and completed radiology training in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital before completing 2 years Paediatric Radiology fellowship in Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital from 2014-16.

In 2015-16 she was Chief Fellow in Paediatric Radiology and underwent subspecialty training in Fetal and Neuro MR. Dr Colleran currently serves on fetal committee of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology.

Fetal and neuro MR, contrast ultrasound, medical education and medical capacity are her areas of academic interest.
