Biography
Paraskevi Foti is a Coordinator of Primary and Secondary Education at the Third Region of Attica under the Greek Ministry of Education. She previously served as the Head of the 4th Kindergarten of Agia Varvara. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Athens with a specialization in Psychology and completed her doctoral dissertation at the same university, titled “Language and Creativity.”
She has also studied piano and higher music theory at the National Conservatory of Athens. Paraskevi Foti has earned two Master’s degrees: the first (MEd) in Intercultural Education and Diversity Management and the second (MA) in ICT and Special Education, focusing on STEAM and Coding in inclusive kindergarten settings.
She is the author of several books, including "Otherness, Prejudice and Stereotypes in the School Classroom: Teacher Management Methods” (2016), "Understanding our Language: Ancient and Modern Greek through Aesop's Fables” (2020), "ST(R)E(A)M and Educational Robotics” (2021), and the children's book collection STREAM Role Models: I Dream of Becoming an Engineer, Computer Scientist, Researcher, Mathematician (2023). Her research explores the STREAM methodology, which integrates the Arts (R for Literature) into STEAM education, emphasizing creativity and innovation in inclusive classrooms.
Paraskevi Foti is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Western Macedonia, focusing on Innovative Technologies in Preschool Education in an eTwinning Community of Training and Practice (CoP). She is an active researcher with a strong focus on Language, Creativity, STREAM, Educational Robotics, and Communication Technologies in inclusive education and she is also a Scientix Ambassador, as well as an eTwinning and Moodle trainer.
She collaborates as a Research Associate in the Early Childhood Department of Education and Care at the University of West Attica and serves as Scientific Staff for the postgraduate program "Pedagogy through Innovative Technologies and Biomedical Approaches” at the University of West Attica.
