Biography

Jim Gilchrist is a Lecturer on the Postgraduate Diploma in Packaging, Innovation and Product Design programme in the Lifelong Learning Department here in TUS Midlands Ireland. He also lectures on the Department’s Business and Management Programmes and is a Postgraduate and Masters supervisor. Jim also delivers bespoke management training courses in industry on behalf of the Faculty of Continuous, Professional, Online and Distance Learning. He has an MSc in Culinary Innovation and Product Development, is a published author and has 20+ years industry experience.
Jim is a Department Liaison with the TUS Academic Integrity Team and an active member of our Community of Practice. He has a keen interest in Programme Design and Development and Innovation in Assessment Strategies, which led him to speak at the recent INTED conference in Valencia Spain on Work based Learning and its “Worth” to all stakeholders.
