Biography

Xin has expertise in the secondary analysis of International Large-Scale Educational Assessment (PISA, TALIS, TIMSS, etc.) for educational measurement and evaluation and cross-cultural comparisons. Her academic interests include studying student, teacher, and school characteristics that influence learning outcome and educational equity, evaluating teacher effectiveness and teaching quality, and investigating the relationship between working conditions and teacher well-being. Her methodological interest lies in quantitative analytical methods, such as latent variable modelling, structural equation modelling, multilevel analysis, growth curve modelling, and longitudinal analysis.
