I got my PhD working on RNA editing in trypanosomal mitochondria (group of Rob Benne). I am especially interested in (Molecular) Evolution (mostly regarding the evolution of the Eukaryotes and the role ROS and Mitochondria played). I also publish on "science and society".

Other interests: The origin of life, Proteomics, Mass spectrometry, Parasite-Host Interactions, the Immune system and RNA viruses.
