Biography

PhD in biology and biochemistry with extensive experience of professional scientific activity in the field of cell biology and life sciences, related to theoretical and experimental study of biochemical properties, metabolic processes and regulatory mechanisms in cells and subcellular structures in health and disease relevant to functioning under stressful conditions; modern problems of nanobiotechnology, molecular biomedicine and healthcare. Background & skills: general biology, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular and cell biology, microbiology, cytology, genetics, virology, immunology, enzymology, pharmacology, human, animal and plant physiology, ecology, biotechnology, biosafety, biomedicine, pulic health; methods of biological studies in vitro and in vivo: analytical and preparative biochemistry, optical, electron and confocal microscopy, laser spectroscopy, photometry, flow cytometry, molecular probes, biomolecular imaging and sensing, computer modeling, kinetic and statistical analysis. Area of expertise: cellular biochemistry, mitochondrial biology, bioenergetics, biosynthesis, biogenesis, homeostasis, metabolism, sensory and signaling systems, membrane transport, ion channels, calcium exchange, reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, oxidative stress, antioxidants, biochemical and pharmacological regulation of physiological functions, biomarkers, biosensors and their application. Over 30 publications in scientific journals and conferences, including invited talks and presentations at research workshops in EU and USA.
