Biography
Daniel Gonzalez-Toledo is a researcher at the University of Malaga and a member of the DIANA research group. He obtained his PhD in 2024, specializing in advanced 3D interaction techniques with reduced degrees of freedom. He holds a BSc+MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Malaga.
He began his professional career at IBM as a testing engineer. Since 2013, he has been involved in multiple European and Spanish research projects in the fields of Virtual Reality, focusing on 3D interaction, spatial audio, virtual reality for cultural heritage, and haptic environments.
As part of his research, he contributed to the development of the successful 3D Tune-In Toolkit and is now actively involved in its reedition, the Binaural Rendering Toolbox (BRT). He has also completed research stays at Imperial College London and the National Technical University of Athens. His work includes contributions to various studies on spatial audio and 3D interaction. Currently, he is part of the Horizon 2020 project SONICOM (SONICOM - https://www.sonicom.eu/).
