Biography

Soy Gil Lorenzo Valentín, Personal Docente e Investigador del área de Didáctica de la Matemática del departamento de Educación y Didácticas Específicas de la Universitat Jaume I, de Castellón. Soy licenciado en matemáticas por la Universitat de València y doctor en matemáticas por la Universitat Jaume I (UJI), en el programa de doctorado de métodos matemáticos.

He ejercido como profesor de secundaria en matemáticas, periodo 1995-2010, donde soy funcionario de carrera para el cuerpo de profesores de Educación Secundaria en excedencia por trabajar en otra administración pública (universidad).

He ejercido como personal docente e investigador en la Universitat Jaume I, periodo 1998-actualidad, en los departamentos de Matemáticas y Educación y Didácticas Específicas (área de Didáctica de la Matemática) de esta universidad con diferentes figuras contractuales.

Respecto de la docencia, son méritos relevantes en mi currículum tres tramos evaluados positivamente (quinquenios), la gran cantidad créditos plasmados en asignaturas implementadas a lo largo de los años que van desde el 1998 hasta la actualidad y las valoraciones positivas del alumnado que han provocado las felicitaciones por parte del equipo rectoral. Destaco también los 4 manuales docentes que recorren todos los contenidos de primaria para los maestros y maestras en formación, editados en valenciano y castellano entre otras aportaciones didácticas. Finalmente destacar las tutelas de muchos trabajos finales de grado y máster.

Respecto de la investigación, son méritos relevantes en mi currículum dos tramos evaluados positivamente (sexenios de investigación), que se traducen en publicaciones en forma de artículos, libros, capítulos de libros y comunicaciones a congresos. También he formado parte de comités organizadores y científicos de eventos y he sido revisor de publicaciones. Destaco también la codirección de una tesis doctoral en el ámbito de la Educación.

Respecto de la gestión, son méritos relevantes en mi currículum 7 años como coordinador de curso en los grados de Maestro o Maestra en Educación Primaria, 4 años de coordinación general del Máster en Profesor Profesora de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato, Formación Profesional y enseñanza de Idiomas y desde el 2022 soy director del Departamento de Educación y Didácticas Específicas de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales de la Universitat Jaume I de Castellón.
