Biography
Full professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Amazonas (IFAM) working mainly on the Degree in Biological Sciences. Degree in Biological Sciences (1991) and B.Sc. Dentistry (1997) by the Federal University of Amazonas and Ph.D. in Dentistry by Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen (2002), with special focus on Endodontics - Root Canal Microbiology. Works on Microbiology teaching and research, with emphasis on applied microbiology and research on natural extracts (from plants and fungi) and their applications in the control of pathogenic microorganisms. Worked on the implementation and consolidation of the PIBIC and PIBICjr scientific initiation programs and the structuring of the CEFET-AM Research and Postgraduation Board (2003 to 2006). Director of Research and Post-Graduation (2009-2014) at IFAM. Experienced in coordinating research projects funded by CNPq (CT-Amazonia), FAPEAM (PIPT, PAIC, PIBIC-Jr, PAPPE, and PAPAC), FINEP (Ciência Já) and CAPES (LIFE). In 2010, she approved the first IFAM PET group project and worked until 2019 as a tutor of the PET-Biology (12 Biology Students), a students-tutorial program supported with FNDE resources. Currently, works also on the Professional Master's Degree in Technological Teaching (Concept 4-CAPES) on the topic of New Educational Resources on Microbiology, with special interests in teaching microbiology in the Amazonian context with relation to environmental conservation and health improvement.
