Biography

My actual research field es the study of the pathogen Streptococcus pneumoniae and I'm also interested in the education and difusion of scientific culture, specifically the microbiological world.

I have a blog on microbial curiosities and also I am the host of a radio program dedicated to science in the radio station of my university.

Before I worked on the presence of Cryptococccus neoformans complex yeast in the Mediterranean Environment, the biology of the archaea Halobacterium salinarum, the Hoxb8/Pbx1 protein and the essential role of FtsQ, A and Z protein in the cell division process of Escherichia coli.
