Biography
Dr. Mido Chang is a quantitative methodologist who teaches research method courses at FIU. Her courses range from foundational to advanced research methodology, covering Structural Equation Models, Multivariate Analysis, and Hierarchical Linear Models. Her research addresses equity issues associated with the provision of educational resources for all students, including linguistic and racial minority students. Through her research, Dr. Chang demonstrates how to employ meta-analysis, structural equation modeling, longitudinal multilevel modeling, propensity score matching, survival analysis, and discriminant analysis in empirical context and policy analysis. Dr. Chang’s research projects have been funded by the Research K-12 Program of the National Science Foundation, the Health and Human Services of the U.S. Department, and the National Professional Development Grant Program of the U.S. Department. She has served on several national and international funding agencies as chair and reviewer, an editorial board member and reviewer for many professional journals, and has provided keynote speeches at several international conferences.
