Biography

Ratko Obradovic is a full professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He is head of the Chair for Computer Graphics and also the founder and head of Computer Graphics - Engineering Animation Studies (at the Undergraduate, Master and Doctoral level of Academic Studies) since their establishment at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in 2011. He received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1993 (at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, 5 years study), MSc degree in 1997 and PhD degree in 2000, both in Computer Graphics (Department of Computer Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia).
His research interests include: Computer Graphics, Computer Geometry, Computer Animation, CAD, Scientific Visualization, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Higher Education.
He is the author or coauthor of four books and has published 35 journal papers and more than 40 articles in Conference proceedings. He is also a coauthor of a CG animated film presented at the Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival in 2012.
He is a member of the ICGG (International Society for Geometry and Graphics) and from 2010 to 2012 he was the president of SUGIG (Serbian Society for Geometry and Graphics). He is also a member of Portuguese Descriptive Geometry and Drawing Teachers Association (APROGED), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and ACM SIGGRAPH.
