Biography
Dr. Antoni Meseguer-Artola is a Full Professor of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). He holds a Doctoral Degree in Economics and Business Sciences (1997) and a Master Degree in Economic Analysis (1994), within the International Doctorate in Economic Analysis, both from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Furthermore, he holds a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics (1992) from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), with a Major in Applied Mathematics.
Before joining the UOC, he was an Assistant Professor of Statistics and Mathematics in the Department of Economics and Economic History of the UAB (1992-1997), where he was awarded a FPI scholarship. At the UOC, he has coordinated the Statistics and Mathematics area, and served as a Director of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Work Sciences (2001-2006) and as a Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences (2006-2010). Since 2020, he is the Director of the Doctoral Program in Business and Management at the UOC. He has also collaborated with the UB as Assistant Professor in the Department of Econometrics, Statistics and Spanish Economics (2010-2020).
Prof. Meseguer-Artola is a researcher in the Digital Business Research Group (DigiBiz) at the UOC. He has published extensively on digital marketing, customer experience, e-learning and game theory in JCR and Scopus indexed journals, with high impact. He has also jointly published several book chapters, books and handbooks. He has presented his research at dozens of international scientific conferences, and has participated in a number of competitive research projects, funded by Catalan, Spanish or European institutions.
Antoni Meseguer-Artola is a member of the Catalan Statistical Council (IDESCAT), and a founding member of the Catalan Statistical Society. He holds official accreditations from the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) as Full Professor, Associate Professor, and Private University Professor, as well as four merits in teaching and a merit in research.
