Biography

Professor Dr. Abdollah Ghasemi Pirbalouti obtained his first degree; Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering in Agronomy & Plant Breeding from Islamic Azad University of Isfahan (Khorasgan), Iran in 1998, master's degree of Agricultural Engineering in Agronomy from University of Tehran, Iran in 2000, and doctoral degree in Agro-ecology (Organic Farming) in Islamic Azad University of Sciences & Research (Tehran), Iran in 2006. Dr. Abdollah Ghasemi Pirbalouti began his career as a lecturer at the Department of Medicinal Plants, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic Azad University of Shahrekord, Iran in 2002 and was promoted to be Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in 2007, 2011, and 2016, respectively. He taught endemic medicinal plants, phytochemistry, medicinal plants physiology, plant extraction and processing, cultivation of medicinal plants, and botany.

• Sourcing of medicinal and aromatic plants.
• Determining bioactivity of plant extracts, such asantimicrobial and antioxidant.
• Extraction and identification chemical constituents of extracts and essential oils by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS), and HPLC.
