Biography

Dr. Koro de la Caba is Full Professor and head of BIOMAT research group in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She received her Doctorate in Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in the research area of polymeric materials. Nowadays, she leads research projects in the area of biopolymeric materials for food and biomedical applications. The main research interests address various aspects of renewable and biodegradable materials from the extraction of raw materials to the end of life of products.
