Biography

My name is Milan Chalupa.
I was born on 28-th April 1958 in Brno, Czech Republic. I learned in the basic school in Brno in the years 1964 - 1973. I started the studies in the secondary school for workers of Zbrojovka Brno in the year 1973. I obtained the licence of cutter here in the year 1975. I took my leaving examination here, as well, in the year 1978. I studied Military Academy in Brno from the year 1978 to 1983. I worked by combat unit in Jemnice in the years 1983 - 1985. I was a postgraduate student in Military Academy in Brno two years after that. I worked in Military Academy from 1988 only. I was the assistant of Department of Tanks for two years, till 1990. I worked as head of the Special group for design of tanks for five years, till 1995. I worked as assistant head of Department of combat and transport vehicles from 1995 to 2005. I was a head of Department of Mechanical Engineering of Faculty of Military Technology of University of Defence in Brno in the years 2015 – 2017. I worked as a head of Institute of Machine and Power Engineering of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem from 2017 to 2021. I am a academic staff of Department of combat and special vehicles from 2021 till now.
I am married. The my wife`s name is Zdena. We have two children. The son Michal, who is thirty one years old and a daughter Ivana, she is twenty six years old. She is a student. My hobby is active sport. I am interesting in triathlon. I love motorsport as well. I am a organizer of rallys, speeds to hill and I am trackmarshall on the Masaryk curcuit in Brno, on the Red bull ring in Austria, on the Circuit of SPA Francorchamps in Belgium and on the Circuit for 24 hours Le Mans in France as well.
