Dr. Mehdi Kardoust Parizi is an Associate Professor of Urology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and a member of the Iranian Urology Association. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Urology specialty from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran.
Dr. Kardoust Parizi received the First rank award in the 60th urology board examinations in 2013 and the Young Surgeon Award at the 38th Congress of the Iranian Association of Surgeons in 2014. He has published several articles and participated in international congresses as a speaker in various fields of urology, focusing on urooncology.
His research is primarily centered on urology oncology topics, as evidenced by his presentations and publications. He has a particular interest in testicular cancer and urothelial carcinoma, with a special focus on upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC), a rare and relatively underexplored disease. He is driven to explore novel approaches to enhance the treatment outcomes for these uncommon cases. Additionally, he is actively involved in the management of other prevalent urological cancers, including prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers.
Dr. Kardoust Parizi is experienced in utilizing statistical software such as Stata, Python, R, and SPSS for data analysis, hypothesis testing, and regression modeling. He is also experienced in designing systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and developing databases for medical research projects.
Not only has he refined his clinical skills, but he has also shared knowledge with medical students and urology residents. By mentoring 20 graduation theses and actively participating in residency education programs, he is dedicated to nurturing the future generation of urology professionals.
