Biography

Eva Havrdová is Professor of Neurology at the First Faculty of Medicine, General Faculty Hospital, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
She obtained her medical degree at Charles University in 1981, went on to specialise in neurology and became Professor in 2010. She is currently Director of the Centre for Demyelinating Diseases at Charles University.
Professor Havrdová’s research interests include cytokine, immunoglobulin and
T-cell research in MS, and treatment of malignant MS.
In Czech Republic she introduced new treatment algorithms in MS, created Standards of diagnostics and care in MS, and helped to establish a network of 15 MS Centres covering the country with accessible MS care for patients.
She organised the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS)
