Biography

Since 2013, she has been teaching at the Instituto Superior de Educação e Ciências (ISEC Lisboa) several Curricular Units in the areas of Chemistry, Environment, Sustainability, Optical materials, Water resources, Coastal Risks, Serious Accident Prevention. Since 2013, she has held management positions at ISEC Lisboa, and is currently the Director General of the General Directorate for Research and Development.

Since 2013, she has been a member of the ISEC Lisboa Technical-Scientific Councils that have been elected, having held the position of Vice-President for one term and the position of President for two terms.
From March 2019 to July 2020, she was the Coordinator of the Social Responsibility Office.

Since 2019, she has been a collaborator of the Center for Applied Studies and Research (CEIA) of the ISEC Lisboa. Since 2021, she has been a collaborator of the European Center for Urban Risks (CERU). Since 2022, she has been a collaborator of the Center for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism (CiTUR) – Polo Estoril.

The main research topics are Environment, Education for sustainability, Climate change, Coastal risks, Risks and vulnerabilities, Serious Accident Prevention, Safety (activities carried out within CEIA and CERU).
