Biography

Jorge Luis Bacca Acosta earned a Ph.D in Technology from the University of Girona (Spain), and a Master's degree in Industrial Informatics, Automation, Computing and Systems from the University of Girona (Spain) and received a diploma in Telematics Engineering from the Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas. His research interests include: Augmented reality, technology-enhanced learning, Motivation for learning, personalization, intelligent agents, semantic web and case-based reasoning. He has experience in Software development under Java, C++, NodeJS, TCL, Unity3D and experience in the design and implementation of database systems in MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. With experience in the development of web sites in compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. With experience as researcher in European and National funded projects and with an h-index of 5 (Google Scholar) and experience as programme comitee member of some national and international conferences and as a reviewer of international journals such as Computers & Education, Computers in Human Behaviour and Online Information Review.
