Biography

Gabriela Chmelíková is an Associate Professor teaching both at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava and at the Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava, where she is the Head of the Centre of Languages, Humanities and Academic Sports, Slovakia.

She graduated in Slovak language – English language teaching from the University of Comenius in 1985, in 2008 she accomplished her PhD. in linguistics, and in 2022 accomplished her habilitation in ESP teaching in Slovakia at technical universities

Member of Slovak Council of CASAJC (Czech-Slovak Association of Language Teachers at Universities), and member of UNIcert®LUCE Committee. She was involved in several national and international projects, Erasmus+, Visegrad+ project.

Professional interests include ESP, use of multimedia in teaching as well as reading and presentation skills acquisition.
