Biography

Tomas Kalina is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Machine Design of University of West Bohemia (UWB). He has a B.Sc. Degree (2015) and M.Sc. degree (2017) in Mechanical Engineering from UWB. During his studies, he worked in two engineering companies as a development mechanical engineer. He currently works as a researcher in a research center of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of UWB since 2016. His research involves the construction and joining of parts made by additive technologies and from composite materials and the structures for absorbing deformation energy.
