Biography

Prof. Adil Youssef Sayeh is a researcher and pedagogue who is interested in language learning, policy, and educational technologies. He has carried out work on trilingualism, especially concerning Arabic-French-English learners, while explaining certain cognitive strategies in the course of language acquisition and learning. The circle of his work also touches upon the use of educational platforms like Microsoft Teams and their inclusion within teaching processes.

Prof. Sayeh has published in international journals on such diverse aspects as metacognitive reading and writing strategies, technology use by teachers, and the impact of linguistic proficiency on academic performance. He has also co-authored several papers that probe into explicit strategy instruction as a means of fostering learner improvement in their academic performance and how educational technology is reshaping classrooms.

Prof. Sayeh is an associate editor in the Journal of Arabic Language Learning and Teaching and has also reviewed a number of articles in renowned journals such as System, Education and Information Technology, Cogent Education, and Helyion.

In addition to his research, Prof. Sayeh has been teaching English courses from the undergraduate through the doctoral level, especially Academic English for Scientific Writing. He is an avid reviewer for leading journals in education and information technology and a regular invitee to international conferences where he presents on his research into language learning, education technology, and student performance. His work connects the link between theory and practice, always contributing to the academic field and practically enhancing methodologies in education.
