Biography

My teaching-related work is in the area of Genetics, teaching courses of genetics and plant breeding at different University degrees like Agricultural Engineering, Forest Engineering and Agricultural Technical Engineering, Bachelor in Biotechnology and in the Master's Degree in Plant Breeding of the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) for more than 15 years.
My research work has focused on the genetic improvement of crops, mainly Solanaceous and Cucurbitaceous crops. Initially the lines of research in which I have been involved were related to the improvement of the resistance to virus diseases, but in recent years have been more linked to the improvement of fruit quality. These investigations have led to the identification of cultivars of high interest for their quality and their agronomic behavior that has been published in journals of impact in the horticulture sector.
