Biography
Terry Gleave (B.Sc., Ph.D., SFHEA) is the Education lead for the Institute of Systems, Molecular and Integrative Biology, and former programme director for the Biological and Medical Sciences undergraduate B.Sc (hons) degree at the University of Liverpool (UoL). Completing his PhD in Physiology in 2001, he started work at UoL, as a university teacher. Terry is an integral member of the School of Life Sciences at UoL, where he received the Sir Alastair Pilkington award for sustained excellence in teaching in 2005 and was recognised as a senior fellow of the HEA in 2018. He continues to be involved in numerous policy reviews and projects; relating to learning, teaching, assessment and the student experience. Terry is now a senior lecturer in the School of Life Sciences and his pedagogical and andragogical research interests include improving learner engagement, the student experience and their impact on learning.
