Biography
I got my degree in Mathematics in 2007 with an award to the most outstanding spanish student in Maths that year. I got my PhD with a FPI fellowship under the supervision of J. Pérez and M. Rodríguez in the research group “Análisis Geométrico”. I have enjoyed postdoctoral positions in Granada (1 year), Roma III (1 year), Politecnico di Torino (1 year), King’s College London (2 years), and ICMAT (8 months). I got an Assistant Professor position at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (9 months) and tenured research positions including a Ramón y Cajal fellowship at University of Jaén. At this moment, I am professor in Applied Maths at University of Jaén
My research interests are mainly related to the theory of constant mean curvature surfaces in three-manifolds, as well as other related geometric conditions such as totally umbilical surfaces, isoparametric surfaces and parallel mean curvature surfaces. I have tackled problems concerning stability, geometric estimates, and the construction and classification of examples, especially in homogeneous 3-manifolds and 3-manifolds admitting a Killing vector field, where I have specialised in geometric correspondences for surfaces.
