Biography
Makinde Kayode is a distinguished engineer, researcher, and academic, renowned for his expertise in power systems and renewable energy. His academic journey began at the Federal Polytechnic Bida, where he earned a National Diploma (ND) in April 1999 and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in October 2002, establishing a solid foundation in engineering and technology.
Eager to expand his knowledge and skills, Makinde pursued a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in September 2008 at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). He furthered his academic career by obtaining a Master’s degree in May 2017 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), solidifying his academic credentials and positioning himself as a specialist in the engineering field. In 2022, he achieved another academic milestone by earning a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from Kwara State University (KWASU).
Makinde is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), affirming his professional standing and commitment to the engineering community.
Currently, Makinde serves as a Chief Lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic Bida, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of engineering education. His academic career is complemented by his practical experience and research, particularly in power system design and solar-powered systems. He has made significant contributions to the field through his work on these topics, applying his expertise to develop innovative solutions for modern energy challenges.
Makinde's current research focuses on PV Fault Analysis, which are critical for sustainable energy development. His work in this area is expected to provide valuable insights into improving the performance and fault resilience of solar energy systems, contributing to the advancement of renewable energy technologies.
