Dr Amanda Costello
Lead Nursing and Midwifery
Dr Amanda Costello has worked in education for 25 years and is a Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities, Fellow Chartered College of Education, Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Bolton. Her experiences are in Forensic Nursing Adolescents and Adults, Community Nursing, Special Education Needs pedagogy and Education Leadership.
Amanda is Programme Lead for MSc Pathways Health and Social Care and Community and Public Health (top up), in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Research interests include Intellectual disabilities/mental health, forensic nursing and autoethnography work, assessment literacy and cross faculty development research. Amanda has further worked on an NHS England funded project: Learners at risk of attrition. Additional interests include university wide research workshop delivery and facilitation and PhD supervision including internal and external examination.
