Richard de Grijs was one of our researcher Board members from 2017-2019. In this post, he reflects on how ORCID has evolved during this time, and on his experience of ORCID as both a Board member and a practising researcher.

As part of a new initiative to showcase examples of great member integrations and learn from their experiences, we are happy to share the story of CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation), Australia’s national science agency, and their recent integration of ORCID with their data and research repositories. 

ORCID have been collaborating with the Open Pharma team on various outreach activities over the last two years. In this post, jointly authored by our former Engagement Director, Matt Buys, and Paul Farrow, Group Communications Director and Sarah Sabir, Associate Medical Writer, both at Oxford PharmaGenesis, we look at the adoption of ORCID across various organisations in the pharmaceutical research community.

Our website refresh goals are simple yet ambitious: make it effortless for members to understand the value of ORCID and implement it in your systems and workflows, and for researchers to understand the benefits of having and using an ORCID iD.
