Great news for the Italian research community - ORCID is being implemented nationally! Under the auspices of ANVUR and CRUI (the Conference of Italian University Rectors), the Cineca consortium will be responsible for the implementation, and their members - 70 universities and four research centers - will be the first to implement ORCID.

The 2015 ORCID-CASRAI Codefest was a great success. Developers from eight different countries participated virtually and in person. After one and a half days of coding and cross-team collaboration, we were delighted to see live demonstrations of nine great projects. The recent ORCID-CASRAI conference attracted 170 or so researchers, research administrators, funders, vendors, publishers, and more.
