Biography

Prof. Helen Shoemark has more than 30 years in the field of music therapy as a clinician and researcher. She is currently Director of Music Therapy at Temple University in Philadelphia. Her research focus has been the role of music and meaningful voice in parental self-efficacy for parents of medically complex newborn infants. Her expanded agenda includes collaborative reasoning and program development in hospital-based creative arts therapies teams.
