Biography

Dr. Teresa Morlà holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from the URV, a Master’s in Sociological Research from the UB, and a PhD in Sociology from the URV (FI scholarship – Generalitat de Catalunya). Her doctoral thesis was awarded an Excellent Cum Laude*distinction and received the extraordinary doctoral award. From February 2022 to February 2024, Dr. Morlà benefited from the Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellowship, which she carried out at the UB. She is a member of the research group "EDIT - Educational Transformation, Leadership & Sustainability." The research lines connecting all members of this group focus on leadership and educational improvement, professional development in education, teaching and assessing competencies in universities, and research on university teaching.

Her research activity has primarily focused on studies of social transformation and the inclusion of the entire population through dialogic environments. Through the concept of dialogic environments, she has also explored creative skills, a research line initiated during her doctoral thesis to address new social challenges in educational and workplace settings. All the actions studied share a common feature: dialogic inclusion, which involves the participation of all individuals in decision-making processes. Her interests revolve around social impact and the generation of knowledge with and from society to address social challenges while considering the capabilities of all people. Dissemination and collaboration with citizens are a priority.
