Biography

Giuseppe Musolino was born in Reggio Calabria (Italy) the 25th of march 1969. In 2001 he got the PhD degree in Transportation Engineering at University of Trieste (Italy). From 2001 to 2004 he was supported with a post-doc grant at Department IMET of Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria (Italy). Since 2005 he is researcher in Transportation at Engineering Faculty of Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria (Italy). Since 1994 he partecipates to research activities at Departiment IMET of Engineering Faculty of Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria (Italy). He works on different reasearch topics in Transportation field: vehicular traffic flow models, microscopic traffic simulation in ordinary and emergency conditions, maritime freight transport, city logistics, travel demand analysis, land-use transport interaction models. He published more than 80 scientific papers. Since 1996 he supports educational activities in the behalf of several courses in Transportation field at Engineering Faculty and Architecture Faculty of Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria (Italy). Since 2006 he is teacher at the Course "Land-use and Transport". He worked for several research centers and public administrations in transportation planning for: development of urban transport plans, studies regarding transit services planning, surveys on mobility in urban and extraurban areas.
