Biography
Cristina Martín-Doñate is a Professor in the Department of Engineering Graphics, Design and Projects at the University of Jaén-Spain, which she joined in 2000, taking the position of Head Researcher of the INGDISIG Jaén Graphic Engineering Research Group in 2017. She received a Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia - Spain. She was awarded Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jaen - Spain. Her main research lines focus on sustainable injection molding processes, advanced industrial design and computer graphics applications for digital manufacturing. Cristina Martin-Doñate has published more than 20 scientific papers in high-level indexed journals in prestigious publishers. Cristina Martín-Doñate is the inventor of 15 patents, most of them international. In the field of research, she has received several international awards, including the Best Paper award in 2016 by the prestigious international association (ACM) Association for Computing Machinery–New York. Guest editor of international research journals. She has participated in and/or directed international, national, or regional research projects. She is an invited speaker and moderator at international conferences and she carried out several international research stays at the Technische Universität Graz (Austria), Rosenheim Technische Hochschule (Germany), Fürtwangen Technische Hochschule (Germany), Valoriza Research Group (Portugal) and at the Politecnico di Bari (Italy). Expert reviewer of National and European Projects for the Research Executive Agency (AEI) of the European Commission. In the educational field, she has won 5 awards including the award for the Best teaching innovation project at Jaen university and the award for the Best entrepreneurship project in three consecutive editions.
