Biography

I am a language teacher educator and researcher passionate about inclusiveness and social justice in education and with a strong desire to create and shape adequate supportive learning environments for K-16 students through practice-based and policy-informed approaches.

I am goal-oriented with experience working and leading sustainable programs with culturally diverse and international populations in the Seattle area, and leading projects in Chilean and US higher education. I am a driven by a professional model of empowerment, deep listening, collaboration, and excellence in leadership.

My research is grounded on the application of sociocultural principles and social justice in language teacher education, and the exploration and understanding of language teacher identity and agency. I possess strong training in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods and have conducted research in both the United States and Chile, particularly in the areas of language teacher education and leadership.
