Dr. Saqib Mehmood

Biography

Dr. Saqib has been a Lecturer in the Department of Commerce at the University of Gujrat, Pakistan, since 2012. Before joining the University of Gujrat, he worked as a Consultant at the Asia Pioneer Research Foundation Pakistan. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.Phil degrees with magna cum laude and summa cum laude, respectively. His main research interest is Financial Development, Risk Management, and Sustainability. He has been teaching Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship related courses since 2011. He has presented his research work at several international conferences in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Thailand, and Pakistan. He has also participated as a session chair and keynote guest speaker at national and international conferences. Dr. Saqib lists research publications in Impact Factor, Journal Citation Reports, ABDC, ABS, SCOPUS listed, and HEC W, X & Y indexed journals. He is a member of the external examiner's board for Ph.D., M.Phil. or equivalent degrees for commerce and management sciences students at different Universities in Pakistan. He has been a designated member of the scientific committee of the World Academy of Science, Engineering, and Technology (WASET) since February 2015 and a Member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability, Japan, since April 11, 2018. He is a certified trainer and lead facilitator of the British Council (Active Citizenship Program). He was appointed as an approved Ph.D. supervisor by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in 2022. Furthermore, he is a member of the Board of Studies, Department of Commerce, University of Gujrat, Gujrat. Currently, he is pursuing his Post-Doctorate from Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, Thailand.
