Professor, College of Science, Sichuan Agricultural University
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wang Xianxiang (1978ā), a male from Yunyang, Chongqing, holds a Ph.D. in Science and is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at Sichuan Agricultural University. His research team is dedicated to collaborative innovative studies aimed at the efficient utilization of agricultural trace nutrients and the mitigation of heavy metal pollution. By integrating interdisciplinary approaches, including material chemical synthesis, biological nanotechnology, and intelligent monitoring, the team systematically addresses the technological challenges in reducing and enhancing trace nutrients such as copper, iron, zinc, manganese, selenium, and strontium in feed and micronutrient fertilizers.
The team has developed strategies to inhibit heavy metal migration through element antagonism effects and the optimization of delivery systems, thereby establishing a dual-track regulatory framework for the ābiological fortification of nutrient elementsā and the āin situ passivation of soil heavy metals.ā Dr. Wang has successfully led more than ten national and provincial research projects, published over 100 high-quality academic papers, and filed for over ten invention patents, resulting in key technologies for micronutrient enhancement and soil remediation, all protected by independent intellectual property rights.
In response to resource constraints and the issue of "hidden hunger" in food security, he promotes the industrial application of green products, including novel formulations for micronutrients, feed additives, and soil remediation materials. He has established a comprehensive innovation system that encompasses "mechanism research, technology development, and product creation," thereby providing essential technological support for advancing agricultural productivity. His achievements have generated significant ecological and economic benefits in the field of sustainable agricultural development.
