Biography
Ana Rovisco completed the PhD in Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences in 2019/12/20 by NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA), NOVA University Lisbon (at Department of Materials Science and i3N/CENIMAT) and the Integrated Master in Physics Engineering in 2012 by the same University (at Department of Physics). She is currently assistant researcher at CENIMAT, where she is researcher since 2013. Since 2014 she is also lab assistant of several courses (>5) related with nanofabrication and materials characterization in the same university. Published 18 articles in peer-reviewed international journals (h-index=14, as November 2024), 3 book chapter and 2 conference paper. She is currently member of the Topic Advisory Panel of Chemosensors (MDPI) and Electronic Materials (MDPI). Reviewed papers for >10 international journals. She has more than 70 communications in national and international conferences and seminars, several of them in the most prestigious conferences, with 6 invited oral communications presented by her. Participates and/or participated as researcher in > 15 international and national projects. Currently, her work is mainly focused in nanofabrication based-on SEM and in the synthesis, characterization and application of oxide nanostructures. She is autonomous on several fabrication and characterization techniques: X-ray diffraction (XRD); Scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray (SEM and EDX); UV-visible spectroscopy; FTIR spectroscopy. Mastery of techniques for materials fabrication and deposition: hydrothermal synthesis (conventional oven and microwave-assisted); sputtering (deposition and dry-etching); e-beam (EBL) and photo-lithography; spin coating; Basic knowledge: X-ray photon spectroscopy; Raman spectroscopy; chemical vapor deposition (CVD), nanoimprint lithography (NIL).
